COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Just over 90 potential jurors and 150 possible witnesses were questioned today in the Brett Parker trial about their ability to be fair and impartial during the trial.

If chosen, twelve of them and six alternates will help determine Parker's fate. Parker is accused of killing his wife Tammy Jo Parker and friend and business associate, Brian Capnerhurst at the Parkers' Irmo home last April.

The victims were each shot multiple times with two different guns, according to court testimony. Who fired those weapons is what the jury will decide. Solicitors claim it was a gambling deal gone bad and that Brett Parker committed the crimes. Defense attorneys say it was Capnerhurst, motivated by robbery, who initiated the incident.

In addition to the dozens of possible jurors, some 150 potential witnesses, many of whom include the defendant's and two victims' families, could also take the stand. It is a web of sex, lies, money and murder that could even put the Parkers' two children, 14 and five, on the stand.
