COLUMBIA, S.C. (ABC NEWS) - Cutting down on needless medicine, 17 leading medical specialty societies are behind the "Choosing Wisely" campaign.

Among their latest warnings, don't give cough and cold medicine to kids younger than four. Experts say it doesn't help much and could cause serious side effects.

Another, women ages 30 to 65 don't need annual pap tests.
For most of them, every three years works just as well.
