Missing Boater Found

By Eric Weisfeld

(WOLO) Columbia, SC-The South Carolina Department Of Resources says it has recovered the body of a missing boater from Wateree River.
Officials say the 44-year-old victim, who has not been identified, was found about a mile upstream from the landing.
Late Saturday night, the man was reportedly in a boat with a woman when it hit a log and sank.
The woman did resurface and was able to float downstream to a fisherman to ask for help.
During rescue attempts over the past two-days, crews say the Wateree River was at flood stage.
