Officials with the Department of Natural Resources say they are hoping to find a missing boater alive as they continue search and rescue efforts.

According to officials, the man who was riding in the boat along with a female companion fell out of the boat after it hit a floating log and capsized around 11 Saturday night.

Officials say the woman riding in the boat along with the unidentified man resurfaced and was able to float down stream until she spotted a fisherman who assisted her and contacted police.

Crews spent Saturday and Sunday searching for the missing man using helicopters and boats north of Camden.

Given all the rain of late...seems to me the rational approach is STAY OUT OF THE WATER.
