South Carolina's Oldest Resident Dies

(WOLO) EDGEFIELD,S.C, --

Mamie Rearden had outlived many and lived long enough to hold the title of the oldest person in the country for two weeks.

After 114 years of life, Rearden died at a Georgia hospital surrounded by her two daughters.

According to family, Rearden's death came just 3 weeks after she broke her hip in a severe fall.
