RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) -- Details surrounding the discovery of a cell phone belonging to missing Midlands teenager Gabbiee Swainson, resulting in the arrest of the kidnapping suspect's daughter, are nothing short of amazing, according to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott.

Lott describes how authorities were lead to the cell phone, who found it, and who is responsible for discarding it. 27-year-old Dominique Grant, daughter of suspected kidnapping suspect, Freddie Grant, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of a felony. Police say she placed the phone behind a Piggly Wiggly store in Myrtle Beach. Investigators claim they have evidence that proves Grant is helping her father cover up details of the case, in an effort to throw off the investigation.

Sheriff Lott says their tactics will not work and he holds out hope that Gabbie Swainson will return home.
