Fairfield Suspect has First Day in Court
(WOLO) WINNESBORO, S.C., --
The bond hearing lasted no more than about 2 to 3 minutes with The Honorable Carol Ann Tolen telling Matthew Mahorsky his rights for an attorney and preliminary hearing, but did not grant bond.
Mahorsky, escorted into the court room wearing handcuffs on both his hands and feet and wearing an orange jump suit, said few words during the hearing and showed even less emotion.
The same could not be said for his brother who was visibly shaken and on the verge of tears. Todd Mahorsky was the only family member in court Wednesday.
After the hearing we asked Todd Mahorsky for a comment concerning his brother and the shooting deaths of their parents found Monday, his only response was " Pray for my family, but most importantly, pray for my brother."
Matthew Mahorsky is expected to appear in court again in May for a Preliminary Hearing to find out if there is enough evidence to go forward with a trial.
