(WOLO) WASHINGTON, D.C., --

The PCIP Program was initially set up to be a transitional program ahead of the 2014 Affordable Care Act which would give everyone in the country access to health care.

Although more than 100 thousand people have enrolled in the program nationwide, Saturday morning the federal government suspended enrollment to new patients.

Anyone who has already been enrolled in the program will still be covered.
No word on when the feds will allow people to begin enrolling again, or why it was temporarily halted.
