1,000 New Jobs Coming to SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Direct marketing company Red Ventures is expanding in Lancaster County and expects to add 1,000 employees over the next five years.

The company announced Tuesday it has nearly doubled its property at its Indian Land headquarters and expects to start construction on its third building by year's end.

The company is expanding from 17 acres to 33 acres in Indian Land, an unincorporated area of Lancaster County just south of Charlotte, N.C.

Red Ventures employed 300 people when it moved to South Carolina in 2009 and now employs nearly 1,000. The company employs a total of 1,500 nationwide.

The high-tech company helps a business grow through a combination of online marketing, telephone sales and technology infrastructure.

It expects to grow by 30 percent in 2012.
