K9 Officer Loses Battle with Cancer

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - A beloved Midlands K9 has passed away.

Authorities say nine-year-old Enzo died Thursday after a battle with cancer.

We first met Enzo and his partner last March.

He was the very first recipient of a protective vest from Friends of Fargo.

A local nine-year-old girl started the effort after learning of the death of Richland County K9 Fargo.

Enzo served with the South Congaree Police Department.

My condolences to Enzo's handler. God took him home..he is frolicking in green pastures.
