Search panel set to find an SC State presidentORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina State University has named a 14-member committee to search for a new president for the Orangeburg school. The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports (http://bit.ly/WwPhZF ) the panel is made up of members of the university board's executive committee, alumni, employees and others. The university has been without a permanent president since George Cooper resigned last March. Rita Teal served as acting president until July 5, when Cynthia Warrick was named interim president. No date for finding a new president has been set.
