SC Attorney General attends Memorial Day ceremony


BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina's top prosecutor is taking part in a Memorial Day ceremony to honor some of South Carolina's veterans.

Attorney General Alan Wilson is speaking Monday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Day ceremony in Batesburg-Leesville.

Wilson has been participating in several Memorial Day-related events in the past week. On Wednesday, he commemorated the unveiling of a marker for fallen World War II aviator trainees from the former Columbia Army Air Base. Last week, the Republican spoke at the Fallen Soldiers Luncheon at the Palmetto Club of South Carolina in Columbia.
