CPD Officer Charged with Domestic Violence

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)--A Columbia police officer is accused of criminal domestic violence.

Richland County deputies say they responded to Jason Green's home just after 1am Wednesday.

Investigators say Green and his wife were in an argument when he grabbed her by the throat and shoved her.

A spokesperson for the police department says Green has been suspended without pay.

This would not have happened if the wife knew what the real story was before she reacted toward him. Still no excuse for violence.
