Teen killed when SUV flips on Interstate 20 in SC

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina coroner says a 16-year-old is dead when a sport-utility vehicle flipped on Interstate 20, ejecting several passengers.

The State newspaper of Columbia reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/125daJq ) that Lexington County's coroner said Matthew Lawrence Johnson of Columbia was killed.

Highway Patrol troopers say the westbound SUV was carrying eight passengers on Saturday when it blew a tire, swerved and flipped over several times in Lexington County.

Highway Patrol says four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. The driver and five passengers were taken to the hospital.
