Dragging Death Update

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- German Orlando Zuniga-Torres is being charged with Accessory after the fact in connection with this weekend's dragging death investigation.

The 24-year-old is the brother of wanted suspect Dany Alexander Zuniga-Torres. German Zuniga-Torres is accused of helping his brother elude and evade Columbia police officers.

Investigators are continuing to follow up on leads related to the case. German Zuniga-Torres has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. His bond hearing is set for 9:30 Thursday morning at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Investigators say Zuniga-Torres was driving a van towing a trailer that pinned Calvin Smith underneath resulting in his death Sunday night near the intersection of Earlwood Drive and River Drive.
