Marriage Equality

By Eric Weisfeld

(WOLO) Columbia, SC-Supporters of marriage equality and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in South Carolina will be gathering in from 5-6pm at 1109 Assembly Street in downtown Columbia to March for Equality at 6pm in response to the decisions from the U.S.
Supreme Court in the cases pertaining to California’s Proposition 8 and the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
The court is scheduled to rule on both cases, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10am.
The gathering will occur Wednesday evening, and will go on regardless of the final outcome in each of the cases (either celebration of the rulings or to call for full equality in the future).
