Troopers: Driver Killed after Accident with Trailer

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident in Richland County Monday that involved a trailer.

Troopers say a 1998 Ford was traveling along Bluff Road when the vehicle swerved to avoid traffic. It cross the center line and hit the oncoming trailer before ending up in a ditch.

The driver of that car was taken to the hospital and was eventually pronounced dead.

Troopers say that individual was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the trailer was not injured during the incident.
