Teen dies in 4-story fall at Myrtle Beach hotel
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a Mullins teen has died after falling from a seventh-floor balcony at a Myrtle Beach hotel.
Investigators said Douglas Smith fell four floors to a third-story parking garage at the Monterrey Bay resort around 11 a.m. Sunday.
The coroner's office says Smith died about an hour later at the hospital from head injuries.
Authorities have ruled Smith's death an accident.
