3rd person arrested in Lexington beating death
LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A third person has been charged with murder in the death of a man in his home near Lake Murray last month.
Lexington County deputies say 26-year-old Kenneth Darrell Walters of Columbia was arrested Monday.
Authorities say 45-year-old Timothy Tice was found dead in his kitchen in a pool of blood with the wine bottle in several pieces nearby.
Margaret Driggers and Demetriss Glenn were charged with murder last week. Authorities say they beat the victim to death with a wine bottle after he struggled during a robbery on June 26. Deputies say Driggers lied to investigators about being with Tice when he was killed.
Walters, Driggers and Glenn were all being held Tuesday at the Lexington County jail waiting for bond hearings. It wasn't clear if they had attorneys.
