Darius Rucker, Bill Murray swing against obesity
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Singer Darius Rucker and Comedian Bill Murray are taking some swings this weekend against childhood obesity.
The two are captains of celebrity teams playing softball in Charleston to benefit Louie's Kids and Run Buddies. That's a nonprofit based in Charleston that works to prevent childhood obesity.
The game is being played at Joe Riley Park.
Other celebrities include cast members from "Army Wives," the television drama filmed in Charleston, Mark Bryan of Hootie and the Blowfish and Andrew Goudelock, the former College of Charleston basketball star who is now with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Other television and local media celebrities are also playing.
