SC police probe 2 deaths after drive-by shooting

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (AP) — Horry County police are investigating two deaths and an injury they believe are related to an earlier drive-by shooting.

Lt. Myron Creel says the shooting happened Monday night in Little River. Shortly after, police found a Ford Bronco in flames on Highway 31.

Police are still trying to piece together what happened, but at least one person found inside the burning vehicle had been shot. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

One other person was killed and a third wounded in the incident, but it isn't clear how it all happened.

Creel says investigators believe the Ford Bronco may have been involved in a drive-by shooting in which someone shot back at the vehicle.
