SC woman dead, husband injured in shooting
FINGERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A Spartanburg County woman is dead and her husband has been critically injured in what sheriff's deputies think was a domestic shooting.
Forty-eight-year-old Tammy Spivey Blackwell of Chesnee was pronounced dead at the scene in Fingerville in northern Spartanburg County late Thursday night.,
Sheriff's spokesman Tony Ivey says 48-year-old Harold Dean Blackwell was critically injured from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Ivey says investigators think Harold Blackwell shot his wife before attempting to kill himself.
Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the shooting. They said the couple was not living together.
