As a young kid, I loved watching the National Geographic videos that were on Sunday night on PBS. I always wished I could be a part of making the videos. I went to high school in Clarkston, Michigan. As a junior in high school, I was accepted in the video program my school offered. It was my favorite class in high school. I spent endless hours filming and editing the video yearbook. We also had the pleasure of producing a weekly program on the local cable Station.

After high school I went to Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. I graduated in the top 10% of my class. While at Specs Howard I interned at a local post-production facility. After graduation, I was offered a job.

I moved to Virginia in June of 2007. I started interning at the local PBS Station in February of 2008. In August of 2008, I got a job at Red Eye Production. They are a small business that works mostly on weddings. I worked there until February of 2009.

In September of 2008, I also got a job at WHSV TV3. My job at TV3 has been very rewarding. I started out just running cameras in the studio. In addition to being a production assistant, I have received permission to go out and shoot breaking news. I also had projects I worked on with creative services. I also shot football every Friday until the season was over.

In February of 2010, I moved to Columbia, SC, where I took a job at ABC Columbia as a photojournalist. Along with shooting daily news stories, I also have had the pleasure of shooting high school football on Friday nights, along with college football on Saturdays. I'm hoping to start shooting other sports as well. I am also the only photographer to shoot Wrinkle Free Wednesdays, a weekly franchise. My favorite franchise is Hidden Columbia, another franchise I have had the pleasure of covering. Overall, my job at ABC Columbia has been a great experience, and I love working with the people here.
