Benjamin Prater
Photojournalist
Benjamin is a Carolina local, born and raised just an hour away in Rock Hill, SC. In 2005, he came to the Capitol City to attend the University of South Carolina, where he graduated with a B.A. from the school of Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication.
Benjamin has bartended the last four years with his only ties to news being the televisions at the bar behind him. Finally, he has been given the opportunity to begin his career path and future as a photojournalist at ABC Columbia. He has a passion for taking video and editing them, telling stories with the pictures he captures, and he is very excited to find a new home in the city he’s come to love.
