It is great to be back in the Carolinas. I was born and raised in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina and attended college at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, where I earned my degree in Meteorology.
After graduating from NC State, I spent time trying to find the right fit for me in the field of meteorology and while doing so, I taught Honors Earth and Environmental Science at a high school in North Carolina. I then moved to West Virginia to be the Weekday Morning/Noon Meteorologist at a station there, but after a few years there it was time to get closer to family and friends.
I am a huge sports fan, especially football and baseball. I love ACC and SEC sports, it is hard to beat a Saturday in the South during the fall or a warm spring evening watching baseball. Since my football and baseball days, I have picked up the game of golf. As frustrating as it is sometimes, it is my way to relax. I love the camaraderie of close friends, enjoying the scenery, and being outdoors. When I'm not at work or on the golf course, you can most likely find me at the beach.
