(WOLO) -- Jackie Bradley Jr.'s solo home run in the 5th inning in Seattle broke a 7-7 tie and helped lead the Red Sox to an 11-8 win over the Mariners late Tuesday night.

It was the former Gamecock's second major league home run. The Boston rookie finished the game 1 for 4.

There was plenty more Palmetto State influence in this game. Fellow former Gamecock Justin Smoak went 1 for 4 with a run scored for the Mariners. He scored that run on a 2nd inning bases clearing double by former Clemson standout Brad Miller. Miller went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI on the game and raised his rookie batting average to .275.
