Gamecocks to play in doubleheader Sunday

By Jonathan Oh

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- After the threat of continued cold weather along with the possibility of wintry precipitation forced the postponement of Saturday's baseball game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Liberty Flames, the teams will play in a doubleheader Sunday afternoon.

The game, which was set to start at 1:30 p.m., was called off early Saturday afternoon. The game is re-scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m., and the second game is scheduled to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The first game is scheduled to be nine innings, and the second is scheduled to run seven innings.

Officials say tickets from Saturday's game and Sunday's game will be honored.
