(WOLO) -- Jadeveon Clowney is getting high praise from Georgia coach Mark Richt.

According to the Macon Telegraph, at a Bulldog fan event Monday night, a UGa fan asked Richt who would be tougher to gameplan against, Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel, or Gamecock defensive end and SEC defensive player of the year Jadeveon Clowney.

Richt answered that Manziel would be tougher to gameplan against, but then added, "I would say Clowney is the best football player in the world though. Seriously. I think he might be the very best player who exists today, at any level."

The Georgia coach said Clowney was easier to gameplan for because he pretty much knows where the defensive end will line up, but a coach can't account for Manziel's ability to scramble.

Clowney and South Carolina play at Georgia at 4:30 p.m. September 7th on ESPN.
