Rivals Combine For Special Teams Camp

By Sports Department - Tim Hill

(WOLO) -- This summer a former Gamecock and former Tiger will join forces for a special cause.  And for special teams.

USC's Spencer Lanning and Clemson's Chandler Catanzaro will hold a special teams camp in Greenville July 12th.  Proceeds will benefit Epworth Children’s Home and ClemsonLIFE.

Lanning is a punter for the Cleveland Browns and ranked 11th in the NFL in punts inside the 20 in 2013. He is the first NFL player since 1968 to punt, kick an extra point and throw a TD pass in the same game. A four-year letterman at South Carolina, Lanning was the only player in the SEC to handle both punting and kicking duties in 2009.

Catanzaro is a kicker for the Arizona Cardinals. He is Clemson’s all-time leading scorer, and holds the school record for career field goal accuracy. Catanzaro was a three-time All-ACC selection, three-time Academic All-ACC Selection and four-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member.
