Clemson Maryland Baseball Series Adjusted



COLLEGE PARK, MD. (CU SID) -- Due to impending inclement weather, Maryland and Clemson are now scheduled to play a doubleheader Friday beginning at 3 p.m. Game two of the doubleheader and series is slated to begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Saturday's game is still scheduled to start at 2 p.m. and serve as the series finale.

• Clemson is coming off a 16-4 victory at Georgia on Tuesday night. It was the Tigers’ most runs scored at Georgia since 1981.

• The pitching staff has a 4.61 ERA, .255 opponents’ batting average, 2.06 strikeout-to-walk ratio and .961 fielding percentage.

• Freshman infielder Weston Wilson has cemented his starting spot at third base of late with his timely hitting and solid defense.

• He has committed only three errors in 48 chances (.938 fielding percentage) and has made many diving stops.
