Ex-Clemson PG McIntyre Donates Money To Program

By Sports Department

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Former Clemson point guard Terrell McIntyre has pledged what athletic officials call a "significant'' contribution toward enhancements to the school's basketball facilities.

McIntyre had asked that the amount of the donation remain undisclosed. The school announced the gift Wednesday.

McIntyre played at Clemson from 1995 through 1999 and is second on the Clemson career lists with 1,839 points, 577 assists and 259 3-point field goals. He was a three-time all-Atlantic Coast Conference team selection and led the league in scoring at 17.9 points a game during his senior year.

McIntyre said he wanted to give back because the school had done much for him and his career. He played overseas and led Montepaschi Siena to the Italian A Series championship four straight years. That team retired his jersey last September.
