COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Steve Spurrier says the back-and-forth comments with Clemson coach Dabo Swinney since the last time the rivals met on the football field are no big deal.

At an October 29th Marcus Lattimore birthday and get well celebration, Spurrier said, in reference to Swinney, "Usually when that coach up there talks about South Carolina it's a bunch of garbage and a bunch of BS usually." Spurrier went on to say he agreed with Swinney when the Clemson coach said Lattimore stands for what is right with college football.

Tuesday, Spurrier didn't express any regret for his comments. "I just mentioned I agreed with him," Spurrier said. "I didn't think that was any derogatory comment."
