Texas Tech AD Visits Clemson's Morris
(WOLO) -- Texas Tech athletics director Kirby Hocutt flew to the upstate Tuesday afternoon and met with Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris about the vacant Tech head coaching position.
Hocutt flew to Anderson from Houston. Texas A&M offensive coordinator and former Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury is reportedly the other top candidate for the job.
Morris, a longtime Texas high school coach, has Clemson ranked 9th in the nation in total offense averaging 518.3 yard per game. The Tigers are 6th in the country in scoring this season averaging 42.3 points per game.
Kingsbury, with the help of Heisman trophy winning freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel, has Texas A&M 3rd in total offense and 3rd in scoring.
