Coastal Carolina to play South Carolina in 2013
CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Coastal Carolina makes history in 2013 with its first-ever meeting with South Carolina in a highlight of its football schedule.
The school announced its schedule Monday. Coastal Carolina starts spring practice Tuesday and it looks for its second straight trip to the NCAA playoffs in the Football Championship Subdivision.
The Chanticleers open at South Carolina State on Aug. 31, then return home a week later to play Furman. They will play at Elon on Sept. 28 and conclude the regular season with a trip to Columbia to face the Gamecocks on Nov. 23.
Coastal Carolina opens defense of its Big South Conference title at home against Gardner-Webb on Oct. 12.
