South Carolina's Martin will be tournament analystCOLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina coach Frank Martin will be involved in March Madness after all. The CBS Sports Network announced Wednesday that Martin would serve as a studio analyst during coverage of the round of 16 in the NCAA men's basketball tournament on March 28 and 29. Martin did the same thing a year ago as Kansas State coach after the Wlidcats were eliminated from the tournament by Syracuse. The Gamecocks went 14-18 in Martin's first season. They were 4-14 in the Southeastern Conference, winning two more league games than they did a season earlier. It was just the second time in six seasons as a college head coach Martin's teams did not make the NCAAs. It's also the first time in Martin had a losing record as a college head coach. |
