PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland Golf Club will host the 2015 U.S. Women's Amateur.

It will be the third USGA championship tournament held at the Portland Golf Club. The last was the 1999 Senior Amateur.

Oregon has hosted the U.S. Women's Amateur six times, most recently in 2008, when Amanda Blumenherst won the title at the Eugene Country Club.

The U.S. Women's Amateur, first played in 1895, will be held this year at the Country Club of Charleston in South Carolina Aug. 5-11.

The USGA announced Portland Golf Club's selection on Thursday. The event is scheduled for Aug. 10-16, 2015.
