Panthers to unveil 2014 team, stadium upgrades
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Panthers are giving their fans an early treat by holding their annual Fan Fest at their newly renovated home.
Instead of opening their training camp in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the Panthers will begin their preseason workouts at Bank of America Stadium on Friday to kick off the team's 20th season.
In addition to the team's two-hour practice, fans will get to see two new 63-foot-by-212-foot high-definition scoreboards above each end zone. There are two new ribbon boards approximately five feet high that encircle the entire bowl at the club and upper levels, a new distributed sound system, and newly installed escalators.
Fan Fest is usually held on the Saturday after the first week of preseason practice at Wofford College. It was moved for an Aug. 2 soccer match.
