BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (LHS) -- Allen Louthian went the distance scattering six hits and Aaron Dahm and Tyler Romanick had two hits each that helped 3rd-ranked Blythewood to a 7-2 win over top-ranked Lexington evening the best-of-three AAAA State Championship high baseball series at 1-all. The final game of the series is 7:00 p.m. Friday at Carolina Stadium. With the win, Blythewood improved to 27-6, while the Wildcats fell to 27-5. Dahm hit a solo homer to left field in the second that tied the game at 1-all, and drove in a run in the sixth with an infield hit. Romanick had and RBI double in the third inning and added an RBI single in the fifth. Ryan Brown led Lexington going 2-for-4 while Nick Ciuffo added a hit and drove in a run with an RBI grounder that gave Lexington a 2-1 third inning advantage. Louthian (7-1) picked up the win allowing two unearned runs with a walk and five strikeouts. Elliot Lance (4-1) suffered the loss surrendering four runs, two earned, on just three hits over 4 1/3 innings. Lexington committed four errors that led to five unearned runs.
