(WOLO) -- After losing out on the starting center field job in spring training to Grady Sizemore and being optioned to AAA Pawtucket, former Gamecock Jackie Bradley Jr. ended up in the Boston Red Sox lineup on Opening Day for the second season after all. Boston recalled Bradley Monday after putting fellow outfielder Shane Victorino on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. The Red Sox put Bradley into the season opener at Baltimore as a pinch runner in the 8th inning. He stayed in the game as the right fielder but wound up striking out looking with the potential tying run on second base to end the game. Baltimore beat Boston 2-1.
