Gamecocks Lead 21-13 At Half

By Sports Department

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Dylan Thompson entered the game in the second quarter and his first drive ended in a touchdown to give the Gamecocks a 21-10. Thompson went 4-for-4 on the drive including a 70 yard pass to Nick Jones to set up a four yard touchdown pass to Ace Sanders.

Michigan would get a field goal a little later to cut the Gamecocks lead to 21-13.

Throughout the rest of the second quarter Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier elected to continue to go back and forth between Thompson and starter Connor Shaw. Spurrier went into half time saying "We'll just have to see how it plays out" referring to his two quarterback situation.
