GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) -- Defending South Carolina Class 4A Division II football champion Goose Creek is back in the playoffs, but it might not last for long, even if the Gators win.

A judge ruled Friday that the High School League should have held a hearing Wednesday that disqualified Goose Creek from the playoffs in the open. The league was ordered to reconsider whether there were extraordinary circumstances surrounding the team using an ineligible player.

The decision lets Goose Creek play Friday night against Bluffton. But the hearing Monday could knock the school out of the playoffs again if the High School League rules against them.

The judge's ruling means Conway, who lost to Goose Creek 48-7 in last week's first round, is again out of the playoffs.
