COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Gamecock Victor Hampton said his knee is doing just fine and will be ready to go when preseason practice starts in August. The starting cornerback and punt returner hurt his knee earlier this week playing basketball. Hampton posted a picture of his injured knee to his Twitter account Wednesday and said he could barely walk. On Friday he was moving around well at the Gamecocks' annual Pigskins and Poets event at the Richland County Library. Hampton said his MRI came back negative and there is nothing to worry about. "My knee is fine. I am excited for that it's almost football season," said Hampton.
