WOLO -- Irmo's Dustin Johnson turned in a 5-under-par 67 for his opening round of the Masters, finishing one stroke back of the lead.

The former Dutch Fork and Coastal Carolina star shot his lowest round of his Masters career.

His best round at Augusta National Golf Club was 68 in 2011, and his best finish was a tie for 30th in 2009.

He’s playing for the first time in two years after missing last year’s event with a back injury.

Johnson is making his fourth Masters appearance.

He is scheduled to tee off at 9:50 a.m. Friday.
