COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- In the midst of Dylan Thompson's first start under center, Marcus Lattimore had a career day himself.

Lattimore who carried a lighter load in the Gamecocks 48-10 win over ECU Saturday (13 carries for 40 yards, 1 touchdown), tied the school record for career touchdowns with 33. That puts his name next to Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers and Harold Green in the USC history books.

"I didn't know until last week that I was only one or two away," said Lattimore. "I've met George Rogers, I've met Harold Green, just to be up there with them is just a honor. To be mentioned with them, and just keep it going - try to break it."

And, like he said, Lattimore will try to break that record to take sole possession of the most touchdowns ever by a Gamecock player this week as USC hosts UAB. Kick off is set for 7:00 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
