Lexington Wins 4A State Baseball Title

COLUMBIA, S.C. (LEX) -- Josh Reagan went the distance scattering three hits, Dalton Addy had two hits and Brandon Camp added an RBI double that lifted top-ranked Lexington to a 4-0 win over 3rd-ranked Blythewood and the AAAA State Championship before 6,240 at Carolina Stadium on Friday.

Lexington, which finished the season 28-5, won its sixth state championship overall and its first since 1999. The Bengals finished 27-7.

Reagan was brilliant in earning his second win in the three game championship series that saw the Wildcats win 2-1. Reagan, who finished the season 11-0, beat the Bengals 5-2 on Monday in a complete-game, four-hit effort.

Lexington grabbed a 1-0 first inning advantage with Ryan Brown led off the bottom of the first and reached on the first of three Bengal errors. Brown eventually scored on an RBI grounder by Zach Paquette.

The Wildcats used three Blythewood errors and an RBI double from Brandon Camp to score three times in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-0 lead.
