NFL Doctors Check Out Lattimore

By Sports Department

(WOLO) -- Marcus Lattimore spent four hours with NFL team doctors at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis Friday. We'll know how it turned out in April's NFL Draft.

Lattimore remains positive about returning from a second straight season-ending knee surgery. "All the team doctors overlooked (my knee)" Lattimore said Friday. "Some said pretty good. Some said keep working, but I think it went well. I think it went very well because a lot of guys were surprised by how strong my quads were and how strong my hamstrings were and how tight my ligaments were. I think it went okay. I think it went pretty good."

Gamecock football's all-time leader in touchdowns said he weighed in at 221 pounds and has put on 20 pounds of muscle after his last knee reconstruction surgery. Lattimore said he had no idea where he might be drafted but hopes to play in 2013.

"If I get a chance to play this year I'm going to make the most out of it."
