COLUMBIA, S.C. (USC SID) -- The Gamecock Club will be hosting its annual Kickoff FanFest before and after the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game, to be held Saturday, April 14. The pre-game FanFest activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be located in the Gamecock Village at the front of the Farmers Market, across the street from the stadium.

A Gamecock fan favorite, Patrick Davis, will hold a free concert from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Farmer’s Market amphitheater lawn prior to the game. Davis is an accomplished singer/songwriter from Camden, S.C. who now resides in Nashville, Tenn., writing with nationally-renowned artists such as Darius Rucker, Jewel and Lady Antebellum.

The Kickoff FanFest will also include a cornhole competition, tailgate competition and other fun activities for the entire family. The new 2013 football schedule posters will also be available in the Gamecock Village area. The winners of the tailgate competition will receive four field passes to experience “2001” prior to the Clemson game, while the winning team for the cornhole tournament will receive a helmet autographed by Head Coach Steve Spurrier.

The annual Garnet & Black spring game will kick at 1 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium. Admission is free. The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN3, and will also be shown on ESPNU on a delayed basis.

Thirty minutes following the game, Gamecock fans will have the opportunity to come on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium and have their picture taken in front of the new videoboard; with the Hardees, Outback Bowl, Heisman and Baseball National Championship trophies; with Sir Big Spur; and with Cocky and the cheerleaders. The finals of the cornhole competition will also be held in the stadium’s north endzone.

If interested in the cornhole or tailgate competition please contact Jordan Gardner ( or 803-777-4277).
