BATON ROUGE, La. (WOLO) -- The no. 3 ranked Gamecocks suffered their first loss of the 2012 season as the 9th-ranked LSU Tigers came back from a 7-3 halftime deficit to win 23-21 on their turf.

LSU is now 17-2-1 all-time against South Carolina and 11-1 when playing in Baton Rouge.

The Gamecocks now turn their attention to two crucial back-to-back Eastern division games. First, USC heads to the Swamp next weekend to take on an unbeaten Florida Gators squad in Gainesville. The Gamecocks return home the following week when they host Tennessee at Williams-Brice Stadium.
