COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- According to multiple reports, USC defensive line coach Brad Lawing is headed to join Will Muschamp's staff at the University of Florida.

Though nothing has been made official by USC, reports say Lawing is going to Gainesville for "personal reasons." He is expected to coach the Gators' defensive ends.

Coach Lawing just finished his 17th season with the Gamecocks. He has had two separate stints at USC - the first 10 seasons between 1989-1998, and then Lawing joined Steve Spurrier's staff in 2006.

Lawing has been crucial in the development of former Gamecocks Melvin Ingram and Cliff Matthews, and current USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who was a unanimous All-American this past season.
