COLUMBIA, S.C (WOLO) -- Sunday, new South Carolina men's basketball coach Frank Martin said he would rather have a "bad" or "ugly" win versus a "good" loss. Martin's team won in overtime Sunday, 82-75 after coming back from two deficits in the game.

Martin said he was encouraged by the Gamecocks come-from-behind win Sunday against Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

"I'd like to sit back one and a while and let guys play through some mistakes so they can gain some game experience," said Martin. "The only way you learn how to win games like that is being in that situation regardless of the opponent. So, hopefully that can be a building block for us."

Martin and the Gamecocks return to action at Colonial Life Arena Friday at 7pm against Morgan State.
